A police officer has one of the toughest jobs . . . and so does that man's wife! Overworked, underpaid, and overloaded with concern and stress; this is often how an officer's wife recieves her husband when he is off duty. The funniest and best part is, is that when the job does go right, then it makes everything all worth it. This is one officer's wife's daily register of her and her husband's journey:

Uhh, Was supposed to go to a baby shower this afternoon. A friend, Judy, was supposed to pick me up, however was over an hour late! I was so upset. Don't get me wrong; I am horrible about being late, but I was ready to walk out the door when she called to tell me she was just leaving! Our child has lost the keys to our vehicle, so that is why she was picking me up. I asked my husband to take me to the store; he had just out our son down for a nap (an hour early), explaining that I needed to help Judy make up missed time. He said no, and that I was horrible for even thinking of waking our son up. I figured it was now or never, and that children are very adaptable. I have never waked my son up from a nap before, but I just didn't want to be sure and be so late. Anyway, this whole fight escalated into an unbelievable fight. I ended up not going, because I was going to be so late, and also for the fact that I wouldn't even enjoy myself since we were now arguing. Ehhh. How horrible. I am so upset that I didn't go. I just didn't want to put on a fake smile around a whole bunch of other women. I still do miss not hanging out with a group of girls though. This just stinks.
