A police officer has one of the toughest jobs . . . and so does that man's wife! Overworked, underpaid, and overloaded with concern and stress; this is often how an officer's wife recieves her husband when he is off duty. The funniest and best part is, is that when the job does go right, then it makes everything all worth it. This is one officer's wife's daily register of her and her husband's journey:

Ok, so here's the deal. I have a person who is bringing their 15 month old child over today to meet my son (18 months), to see if I would be a suitable person to watch him. So excited. If this works out, then I will try to find one other kid to watch from home. The I won't have to go get a "real" job! I get to choose my son! That would be so great.

Hubby called to check-in last night at 4AM! Really?! Why does he always drunk call me??? Side note: I know it's better that he's calling me rather than anyone else. I love him . . . gotta give him a little bit of a hard time. Good thing the ringer is off in the bedroom. (It wakes our child up during his naps, so it is always off). It was nice to know he was thinking of us, but really buddy? 4AM???

Mother-in-law called to say hi; wondering if she's ever going to come and see her grand baby. It's almost been 1.5 weeks, and she only lives around the corner! Going in a different direction: I think I am so critical of her, because we are so similar; in every way. Look similar, our initials are the same, and personalities are the same. See . . . it's so good we are similar; my husband deals with me like a dream.

Loki went to the bathroom in the house today. Our boy ran up to me "mama, mama, Loki pee pee" and then pulled me to the area and pointed. Smart man. Did I tell you he's going to the bathroom in the potty? When I was changing his diaper about 6 weeks ago, he acted like he was going to go on me. I was like, "What are you doing?!?! That goes in the potty!!!" He did it again. No way. I picked him up, took him over to the potty, and he went. Going back, every time I change his diaper I always tell him, pee pee or poop goes in the potty, not in a diaper. Then I say it's yucky. We're not expecting anything, but if he needs to go sometime he will come and ask me to take him. Other times, like every hour, I ask him if he needs to go, and if he does, he does. Most boys aren't trained until around 2, not like I'm planning on putting him in undies anytime soon, just trying to save us both some trouble, a few diapers, and in turn some money.

So lots of thunderstorms, the lady called to say that she didn't have time to pick her son up and come back, but wanted to just stop by without him. I don't mind, except that I really do want to meet him. He is so close in age to my son; it just makes me excited, that I could stay at home, him get a playmate, and we get to make a little cash to subsidize the monthly income we lost. Ohh I hope this works! Keep you posted.

Ha! Guess who woke up sick this morning?! Not Hubby, not baby, not puppy . . . me, of course! It was 7AM and I was begging to make a call to the porcelain god, unfortunately to no avail. I went back to sleep.

7:15 Hubby got up; yikes! He worked late until 4AM, then had to go to bond court at 8:00AM. Poor guy. He has to feel awful. Hopefully he'll get to come home and sleep. He's going out of town for a bachelor party. Ya . . . away, like 5 hours away. Wonder why they ALWAYS go away! This is the third time; it's for the hassle-free, no women vacation time. So jealous.

9:00 AM . . . nauseated. I think I'll be on the couch all day today, oh ya wait. I have a baby. Ma,. I am feeling for the people with multiple children now. Can't imagine what they do. No sick days, uhhh.

2:45- Can't move. So sick, please God . . . be kind, make me puke!!!! Oh ya, Hubby joust got back from work (no nap), and is leaving to go to the bachelor party for the weekend. Dying.

On a side note: Puppy is much much better. Poor man had it rough. He is running, jumping, and following us everywhere.

Woke up this morning, and Loki looked awful. He was all skin and bones. He didn't eat anything yesterday, and not really drinking anything either. I was so worried, and just didn't get it. Why if the breeder wormed her over a week ago, was he continually getting worse. It looked as if though he had had worms for a long time. Guess what??? The breeder was self administering the wrong worming medicine. It doesn't even take care of tapeworms! I googled what sentential does do . . . and it doesn't get rid of tapeworms! I called the vet. I was thinking of switching vets, because every time I would take our old dog in there he would charge a $53 consultation fee! Crazy, just to see him, then the vet would add more and more onto the top of it. Anyway, so they said I could just bring him in, weigh him, and then they would sell the drontal without having to see a vet. So that's what my husband did; the vet was only 5 minutes away max, so in the morning my husband gets ready faster. He took Loki, who only weighed 11.5 pounds. He should be weighing double that! That is so horrible. So they gave him drontal, and were hoping for him to improve. Well round three in the afternoon, he was panting, breathing hard, and not walking or lifting his head when anyone came into the room, so I took him in immediately to see the vet. The vet gave him a shot that would help with his diarrhea and vomiting, pills to take too, and w\d canned food for a few days. After a few hours, he was feeling much better already; running again, ate one can of food, and drank lots of water. I don't know how that breeder didn't notice he wasn't getting better! She called today; saying it was the city water that upset him so much. I'll give it to her that it may, but really, this poor puppy has probably had tapeworms for the last month. I couldn't imagine it lasting much longer at the rate it was going. After our conversation, I hope she gets the right pills to the rest of the puppies.

Cleaning day! I am sanitizing my house everywhere! Floors, door handles, and everything. The kid woke up puking. He did just once in the bed, but a lot. Hubby is home with me for the morning; the guys are on nights. Thank goodness; he was holding our son, as I was cleaning, unpacking, and doing laundry.

I am worried about our puppy he did not eat, and hardly drank anything today. He did not whine when I put him in the crate for the night.

So we went to sleep last night at 12:30AM. Exhausting. My mother-in-law refused to pick us up, so my father-in-law did, even though he works three jobs already, and had to be at work at 9. So glad to be home. I figured out by the last night how to perfectly sleep on an air mattress. Ready people, write this down: Inflate, roll a towel to place only under your neck, then sleep only on your back. That's it . . . no problem, except if you are a side sleeper! Anyway, the bed was too short lived, and we are up and at it again. Our son slept in a little past 9:45 AM . . . yes I know lucky right?!?!

Today is Hubby's promotion. Yeah for a pay raise. Last year he said he didn't want us to go in, that it was no big deal. This year he was really sketchy about voicing if he wanted us to go in or not, so after our son kept sleeping past a certain time, we decided the the two of us would stay behind.

So we now have our puppy, and I didn't have time to go and get food, so first order on my agenda is milk, eggs, and puppy food. I'm putting him on Innova Large Breed Puppy. Hope it's good.

So he called later to say he kinda wished we were there, but understood. All of the boys on his team were there. It's kinda like a big fraternity. I felt REALLY bad. He said that I have to be at his next one! It's not like I don't support him! I wanted to be there for the last two! I just need him to confirm it! I am his biggest fan; I hope I didn't disappoint him.

He brought dinner home for us tonight. That was nice, since I was chasing a baby and a puppy around all day. It's called lots of poop . . . everywhere! I must be crazy.

Hum, hum, hum . . . we're leaving on a jet plane . . . don't know when we'll be back again. (Actually, we will . . . next year). We left about thirty minutes late; so we're going to be around that late to get Loki. Bummer. After we get him, we're going to my grandma's house, then taking two flights home.

Puppy's face looks good. It's so super skinny though. I know it has worms, but my goodness, he must have had them for a while. He is all skin and bones! We took him to my grandmother's house and washed him. He smelled and his ears were dirty. We temporarily fixed him up. He better be spoiled with us!

Ok may I just say how awful United is?!?!! Apparently when booking the tickets, I booked the wrong month, so we had to pay to change the flight. Good thing they had empty seats. So much for spending no money on the trip. $25 Each way for the suitcase, $125 to carry the dog on, and $150 to change the flight. Oh, and she made us take two pounds out of the suitcase, because the "pilot wouldn't allow it." BS. Then I asked her for a bag, and she said security wouldn't allow it to go through, so I had to carry all the items loosely through the airport. Ahhhh!!!! Have I said how much I hate United??? I was so upset my eyes were watering in the airport. Flight was great! Again . . . have I said how lucky we are. The doggie slept the whole time, and our boy did too one the second (a two hour) flight.

It's 12:45 AM. Peace out.

Blueberry pancakes, bacon, and fried eggwhites in the morning; all made by my dad. How great. I could get used to this. Ha, before I married my husband, I said the requirements for me marrying him were 1.) he make me sausage gravy and bring it to me in bed 2.) he dance in his shirtstays. Funny, I can dream, that would never happen! I joke about it, but seriously, if he did it would make my month! We're planning on fireworks again late at 10:00 PM, and ice cream before.

On a side note: We're packing up and leaving tomorrow.

Happy 4th of July!
